Picture
Cynthia Kwakyewah is a master’s student at York University and Research Assistant for the Tikkun project with academic interests in sustainable development, governance and politics in Sub-Saharan Africa, corporate human rights responsibility, women empowerment and issues of social justice.
Her master's research critically examines the relationship between business and human rights and its implication for sustainable development in poor African countries. Prior to joining the Tikkun Project, Cynthia was a Youth Researcher in the Engaging Girls, Changing Communities (EGCC) Project where she conducted peer-interviews with other young women and helped pilot youth action initiatives.
